Bob Egerton – standing in Probus Division Bob works as a freelance business adviser and trainer for small business start-ups. He ran his own successful printing business for 13 years in Plymouth before moving to Grampound in 2001. He is actively involved in his local community in projects such as the Carnival Committee and Transition Grampound. Bob is also known for his work in helping people recover penalty bank charges from their banks, and was dubbed "Bob the Bankbuster" by The Sun. So he is used to confronting big organisations, and winning! |

Oliver Baines – standing in Ladock, St Clement and St Erme Former Chief Executive, Cornwall Rural Community Council, landscaper, farmer and environmental freelance. He was awarded the OBE in 2000 for services to the community. Hobbies: growing vegetables, arguing with his children, chasing sheep round partner's organic farm. Founder of Groundswell, an environmental campaigning group in Cornwall. |

Roger Creagh-Osborne – standing in St Germans division Roger Creagh-Osborne (Roger C-O) lives in Landulph near Saltash where he chairs the Parish Council and is founder member of Saltash Environmental Action and Rail User Groups. Roger will stand as an official Green Party candidate. The Cornish Green Party fully supports the policies and objectives of the One Cornwall, OnePlanet movement and shares the vision of the new Council as an open, non-party political space which works for communities in Cornwall preparing them to face a low carbon future. |

Chris Dodwell – standing in St Mewan division Chris Dodwell has a Natural Sciences degree from Cambridge. He worked in research for a major oil company, and then taught science in a large comprehensive school where he became Head of Physics and a Head of Year. He is a very experienced district councillor - he served on Staines and Spelthorne Councils in Surrey, and was particularly involved in housing issues. He is now retired,but is active locally - as a Citizens Advice Bureau adviser, as a youth cricket coach and in his local Transition Group. |

Julie Tamblin – standing in Lostwithiel division Member of a Cornish farming family. A full-time social worker for 20 years in London and Cornwall. Awareness of the extensive range of issues and challenges faced by individuals, families and communities Lecturer in social issues, including legal aspects of child care, child protection, social care and social policy in all the further education colleges in Cornwall Created an award winning language school in Lostwithiel in 2001 where I teach English as a foreign language, French and Cornish. Member of the local business community. Initiated Transition Lostwithiel in 2006. Founder Member of Transition Cornwall Network. Developing the Celtic Transition Coalition to build on existing links between Cornwall and neighbouring communities. Award in "Best Individual" category in the Cornwall Sustainability Awards 2008. Language School "Highly Commended" in the Cornwall Sustainability Awards 2006. |
